LOS ANGELES, CA - Magnum Opus Guitar Company is proud to announce Eagles guitarist Steuart Smith as an official MO Artist. We couldn't be happier to have Steuart playing and recording the Eagles upcoming album with MO acoustic guitars. With all the choices in today's marketplace, when an Artist of Steuart Smith's caliber chooses the MO brand, it reaffirms to all of us that we are building world class guitars by any standards.â€
Veteran Country & Rock Guitar Whiz Steuart Smith is one of the most awesome guitar players in the world with 140 album credits to date. Steuart is one of the most sought after guitarist in the industry having recorded and/or toured with the Eagles, Melissa Etheridge, Wynonna Judd, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, Rosanne Cash, Don Henley, Shawn Colvin, Rodney Crowell, Dar Williams and Dolly Parton to name a few. It's no wonder the Eagles chose Steuart Smith to replace Don Felder in 2001. Steuart can not only throw down Rock 'N' Roll chops with the best of them, but further compliments his repertoire with an arsenal of tasty country licks. His guitar talents can only be surpassed by his class as a person.

LOS ANGELES - Magnum Opus currently has a wait list of over 1 year to place a custom build order. Once an order has been placed, current build times are running approx 6 months. Due to production backlog, we are no longer able to support a retail dealer network at this time. |

MARINA DEL REY, CA - The MO Custom Shop unveiled their jaw-dropping, show stopping, solid Mother of Pearl fingerboard Opus X series at the 2006 NAMM show. We couldn't help over hearing a NAMM show Attendee telling an Associate to "get out his drool bucket" before looking at the Opus X. We couldn't agree more.
The Custom Shop Opus X is a triumphant work of functional art by any standards. At first glance one might consider the solid Mother of Pearl fingerboard a rare Museum quality collector's piece, but one would be greatly mistaken as this is a Player's guitar first and foremost. The action of the solid MOP over Ebony fingerboard is perhaps the fastest playing in the world and the tone projecting from the hard MOP surface sounds like it's going through a studio compressor/limiter in its natural acoustical state. The Limited Edition Opus X is currently available in Auditorium, Medium Jumbo and Dreadnought body styles. |

LOS ANGELES, CA - Magnum Opus Guitar Co is building a dozen or so very limited edition dreadnoughts with very rare Southeast Asian Rosewood. Few woods compare with Brazilian Rosewood as nicely as SE Asian Rosewood, and it's superb density has led many to claim that it is superior. The color ranges from a warm brick-red (reminiscent of Honruan Rosewood) to an attractive tan to rust-brown color. |
